I've gone deaf!

In my left ear. Not stone deaf, but I reckon 80-90% of my hearing has gone & been replaced by a high-pitched noise (cue wife jokes) - tinnitus?

 

It's been like this for 2 1/2 weeks now; I got a fecking cold that lasted 2 weeks & I couldn't shake & the ear went on the blink with it; saw a quack on Monday, she said I have an ear infection behind the ear drum & gave me some MASSIVE fecking antibiotics for it, but said it could take a week to 10 days to notice any improvement.

 

It's f***ing weird only hearing from one ear
