It's a f***ing ridiculous decision. Hard enough to get out foreign for Saturday games without another day off being taken.

Why for instance would they not play Saturday - Tuesday on double fixtures? The players could take the gap and still get themselves back to their clubs a day earlier. There is a week long prep time for the national coaches already before the first fixture. The fans getting shat on again.

Whilst we're on the subject, what fecking idiot powers that be in the Polish FA thought it was a good idea not to have Krakow as a host city?

Utterly mental that. Its fantastic.

Good performance from Ireland there tonight, 1-0 away in Armenia.

Kevin Doyle put in another great shift as target man. I'd have him before Carlton f***ing Cole any day of the week.

Agreed. He's excellent at holding up the ball and wins most headers that come towards him (with his back to goal anyway). Just not enough pace or end product to truly reach the top level. But we're not that anymore so he'd certainly do a job for us!

Yep. Ray Charles could see that.

He's still got potential that lad.

they probably want to keep it that way

Yep and half surprised someone like Hodgson didnt look at him given that his focus as a Fulham manager would have been on players at such level (as opposed to a foreign manager looking to their domestic regions).

Depends what you want him to do though. He'll probably never be a 20 goal a season striker for anyone ever again but as a partner for a prolific striker... I think he would be a very astute signing.

For all his years, Hodgson's only had 4 and a bit seasons in the top division in England.

A few of us on here said he'd been better than Keane for us two years ago.
