Gunga Din Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 John Wark. Absolutely brilliant for the couple of seasons he was here
jimmylibel Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 Ronnie Rosenthal in his first season. Steve Staunton during his first spell at the club.
johngibo YPC Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 Michael ThomasReckon if he'd have started the 95 cup final we'd have won itHe was brilliant against the mancs when we beat them at home that season
johngibo YPC Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 Mark Wright. Yeah he was in brillaint form for a couple of years for us
fred milne Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 Stephane Henchoz is a bit of a forgotten man these days.
Bailo Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 Alonso never, ever, got the praise he did from non-Reds until he left. I don't think people remember how good Babbel was until his injury.
Marvin Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 Always had a soft spot for Stig in the Roy Evans era
jimmylibel Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 Alonso never, ever, got the praise he did from non-Reds until he left. Don't let fred milne or I see that...
sean Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 This thread reminds me of Ronnie Whelan. Oh how I hate Ronnie f***ing Whelan.
Jimi Rojo Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 (edited) Karl-Heinz Riedle His link up play for Owen and Fowler was superb. Didn't knock too many in himself I know. Edited August 18, 2010 by Jimi Rojo
Swan Red Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 This thread reminds me of Ronnie Whelan. Oh how I hate Ronnie f***ing Whelan. is actually a really good shout, or was until he broke his leg against the bitters and people started to realise he was a pretty important player still a c**t tho
Boca Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 is actually a really good shout, or was until he broke his leg against the bitters and people started to realise he was a pretty important player still a c**t tho Was that not Jim Beglin? Coincidentally who also turned out to be a c*** once he begame a "pundit"
sean Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 Was that not Jim Beglin? Coincidentally who also turned out to be a c*** once he begame a "pundit" Add Ray Houghton to that growing list.
jimmylibel Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 Riise I'm surprised that name isn't censored yet!
Swan Red Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 Was that not Jim Beglin? Coincidentally who also turned out to be a c*** once he begame a "pundit" I am sure that Whelan broke his leg after a tackle from Van den Hauwe, there is definitely a player punditry c*ntitry theme developing
sean Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 I am sure that Whelan broke his leg after a tackle from Van den Hauwe, there is definitely a player punditry c*ntitry theme developing All bar Thommom, Jan, Brucie and Aldo, obviously.

johngibo YPC Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 If he'd started the 95 cup final I'd have been shocked and appalled. I'm sure he played home and away in the league against them that year and we took 4 pointsI never liked a centre midfield of Barnes and Redknapp. I bet Roy Keane enjoyed it though
