Clay Davis Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 (edited) Two absolutely comedic moments - smashing a shot horribly wide and then managing to execute a diving header with a straight back and completely missing the ball in the middle of their half. I'm not sure if I want him to become the new Igor or not. What are peoples initial thoughts? Edited August 17, 2010 by Clay Davis

I'm not sure if I want him to become the new Igor or not. What are peoples initial thoughts? He's shown some flashes of brilliance. and hints that he's got pace and can use it. Still need to see a lot more of him to convince that he's at or above the standard of 'not really good enough' wide men we've been putting up with for years.
Leo No.8 Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 Think he's bonkers - sure he'll be a very popular figure, and I think he has enough ability for it not just to be down to his insanity and commitment. He is strong as an ox, but good technically as well I think. Just needed more composure the other day, but its not surprising he got a bit excited - that must have been a different experience of club football than anything he came across in Belgium!
Stevie H Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 looking forward to seeing what his left foot can do with a dead ball as it goes.
libero Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 Looks like he is going to be as mad as a bucket of frogs. Love him already.
Leo No.8 Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 There is a bit of Igor about him as well - just not as gormless (which is good). He gives the same kind of impression that he'd run through a wall without flinching.

Eiler99 Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 The diving header was Momo-esque. Thought he looked good though. I like him so far.

Barnesy_10 Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 from Carragher, talking about his son's new shirt: "You do not want a defender on the back of your shirt," joked Carragher Snr. "He normally has Gerrard or now Cole. He did have [Milan] Jovanovic, but he had his number changed, so we had to go back to the shop and get the shirt altered."
Gravy Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 I think he could become a cult figiure a la Rosenthal - he even runs like him
FakeNewsBear Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 i cant wait to see him go up against terry............ jov looks like a serbian warlord whose fond of the odd rusty nail sandwich
mrjunk Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 Impressive run through the centre of the Arsenal team. good battering ram.

Raj Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 The way he swatted Diaby away whilst dribbling alongside him was immense

If Carra is not backing the boycott on buying merchandise neither am I. He must know something
RedHarvest Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 I like him, he's lively and a fighter. He's a faster more bonkers Kuyt

Jovanovic looks like a good signing. I burst out laughing when that Arsenal player tried to shoulder barge him and ended up sprawled out on the floor like Spinks.
Stew F Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 He also gave the Kop his own little ripple of applause after he won us a corner in the second half........
