fyds Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Will you be there as a participant or spectator?Neither -I'm over at Frenchay this afternoon for a meeting then fecking off sharpish - I lived in Bristol for years - seen more balloons than a Hollywood porn director. The Friday night fire up is beautifull to watch, if they still do it that is.The 'Night Glow' yep - scheduled for tonight as per - along with the thunderstorms and rain forecast - could be another rain-off like a few years back.

fyds Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 Wasnt all that great.... i was quite drunk though so made up for it!It's the only way to see large inflatable houses, beer cans, trainers and tardis' without losing your temper.
Jonesy Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 It's the only way to see large inflatable houses, beer cans, trainers and tardis' without losing your temper. I lived in Bedminster for a bit back in 98. No fecker told me that this was on. I was leaving my house on a summers Firday morning, after a very very heavy Thursday night. Due to houses dotted along the sky line I couldn't see the baskets on the balloons. Needless to say I was back in the house 5 mins later rolling up a smoke. Seeing things like this did not compute in my head at 0715 on my way to get a bus in to town.
Billy Dane Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 Used to go to the one at the old racecourse in Northampton, brilliant display watching them take off early in the morning.
