My brother is a blue as are his mates and annually they have their own fantasy football league. I've paid not attention to this at all but this year I got copied in for some reason to their 'rules' - see below. Very exhaustive homework gone into this by the organiser - see 'Danns of Birmingham' comment for example. They are all mid-30's upwards, so the claim of 'it's just kids doesn't wash I'm afraid.

Found it quite funny that they should go to this length.

Rules;-

To clarify, teams simply need to be in order prior to the first week (i.e. the morning of 14 August).

There will be a no tolerance policy this season, and any breaches will result in immediate suspension, fine of any points gained (record of which to be kept by myself) and ultimately removal from the league should the error not be corrected in line with my instructions (this will depend on the extent of the breach).

For the record, ex Liverpool players and current Liverpool players are banned. The only way any of these players’ bans will be lifted is if they subsequently sign for Everton or commit a favourable act against Liverpool (i.e. we could discuss lifting the ban on Robbie Keane if he broke Gerrard’s leg or involved with his wife).

Further players banned will include Liverpool fans (Danns from Birmingham for example), players who have expressed a desire to play for Liverpool (Gareth Barry for example) and players who have wronged Everton (Lescott, Rooney and Gosling for example). This list is not exhaustive and for any of this type of breach (which I shall call a technical breach) the player’s previous involvement in the league plus other external factors will be considered.

There will also be a clampdown on offensive team names this season, so anyone who has not currently got an offensive team name should think of one!
