Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 Ok - so a good start, no we weren't playing Barca, or Inter, or even Rafa's Liverpool, but it was a good outing for the wee-uns, at least it was a competitive game; so, the annual question, who'll make the grade? Who'll (say) feature in 10 or so games, incl sub apps? Obviously they won't ratchet up a great deal of prem apps, but there are enough games to play. So: Pacheco - obviously being the 'fans' favAmooEcclestoneKellyInceSpearingShelv...Ayala - already looks a solid betIrwinRobinsonDarbyLDVPalsson - who I have on loan in FM '10 and is carving up the league Looks like Nemeth is gone, which means Simon - his mate - who was never as good is long gone... who've I missed? f***ing Rafa
_00_deathscar Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 Spearing won't make it. AT LEAST one from Kelly, Pachecho and Ayala will be playing for a very good club - be with us or not. Haven't seen much of the others.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted August 1, 2010 Author Posted August 1, 2010 and then there are the keepers too
Eiler99 Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 Apparently Suso is in the squad for the Borrussia match.
anny road Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 weird one today, with the likes of Sterling (15 and looks about 10!) & Suso gettting on (albeit for only a few seconds) I like the look of Shelvey, he can obviouslly play and looks physically string enough I think Amoo has a chance, certainly Kelly does....not sure about Ayala.......
Leo No.8 Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Apparently Suso was incredibly good for the reserves against Tranmere - he is definitely emerging as one to watch. McMahon says he's special.
Gunga Din Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 watched it last night Leo. he looks abolute quality. you know the way Rooney just stood out for the Everton Kids as being far too good. well, thats what Suso is like. its like watching a good 16 year old play in an under 12s game

Gunga Din Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 and that was against tranmere's first team, no? what about silva, is he really the new Ronaldo? i was talking about how he stood out in our tean HAss, he was just so much better than the other players. there is no new Ronaldo. i hate all this new this and new that. i dont know about Silva being the new anything, but Suso last night looked a serious talent
Mike Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 (edited) Apparently Suso was incredibly good for the reserves against Tranmere - he is definitely emerging as one to watch. McMahon says he's special. i watched it. he's going to be better than messi. btw thought shelvey showed an awful lot of promise against bmg. had a presence about him. deffo not the new lucas. Bailo Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Should form a decent partnership with Gerrard, shouldSusodo.
Falconhoof Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 BouzanisKellyWilsonAyalaShelveySusoPacheco all have a chance to force their way into the side. They won't all make it but you can see 3 or 4 of them being ready for the squad now. We haven't had anything as good as a group of young players as long as I can remember. Easily better than the youth cup winning sides and some are touching the quality that we got when McManaman, Fowler came through. Too early to say if they are going to be as good as them but they have the talent. Shelvey looks as good on the ball and combined with strength, a bit like the teenage Jamie Redknapp did. People scoff now, but remember when he first arrived and Kenny played him in the first team quickly. He didn't look out of place. Suso looks like something else, like a pocket version of Alonso or something.

Shined above everyone. Silva is too greedy, wanted to do everything himself, don't think he will make the grade with us judged purely on that performance. Ayala again had a spell of lack of concentration in the secondhalf.
Bailo Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 don't think he will make the grade with us judged purely on that performance.Bit harsh.

That's exactly how most of that type look early on. It can be coached out of them, as with his more famous compatriots in recent times.

Davvo Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 one of the problem with English football is that this is coached out of them early on GET RID OF IT I was referring to the way Ronaldo was coached into knowing how to channel his greed appropriately. It wasn't too long ago he was laughed at for doing a hundred stepovers, twisting himself up his own a***, and inevitably losing the ball. This was coached out of him, and he matured into a top player (though still a c*** obviously). He'd still rather dribble and shoot than pass, but he's far less predictable, and a hundred times more effective as a result.

He's 16 and beat his man every time he got the ball he looks a huge talent! You'd wonder sometimes what game people are watching. Who the f*** writes off a 16-year-old the first time they see him? Especially one as undeniably talented as Silva!
Davvo Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 I know what you meant, i wasn't disagreeing with you Splendid.
Billy Talbot Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 What about Coady? Bit younger but isn't he U17 England Captain?
