Just an example at a very low level how the media just make stuff up and how it spreads like wildfire and becomes gospel

Ste Jordan left Burnley at the end of the season and started searching for a club for next season. Several sides showed interest, Blackpool from the Prem, plus the likes of QPR, Sheff Utd, Leeds, Cardiff, Swansea & Portsmouth.....

Anyway he whittled it down to two...Swansea & Portsmouth...despite being the furthest from home, they were the ones he was impressed with so he set up medicals with both

Then Sousa left the swans and they pulled out

then the following appeared in various media outlets

http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Crystal-Palace-transfer-news-Stephen-Jordan-s-Eagle-s-move-on-hold-after-freak-road-accident-article517891.html

Now he did indeed have an accident...with a dumper truck, and he is a lucky boy.....he got a crack on the forehead and had stitches, he thought his career was over....He could have fractured his skull but he didnt......just shook up and superficial wounds......

I spoke to him a couple of days later and asked him about Palace, and he has absolutely no idea where it cane from.....He started getting calls from people saying had he signed for them, and Portsmouth contacted his agent assuming he wasnt now joining them....his agent had nothing to do with it, and neither did Ste.....They contacted Alan Nixon and apparantly he got the story off a Palace Forum!

So remember this when you are lapping it up when the reds are linked with players, if they can get caught with Ste J, what are they like with proper players!

By the way, he is currently in North America with Pompey on trial with a view to a permament deal

Left back isn't he? Get him here

f*** off Gibbo, I am quicker than him

Although I could get close to Nando

Which is more than Jordan did at Anfield last season

It was decent of him to play Yossi onside for his hattrick as well.

"Nando, Nando... sorry about earlier, hun - I honestly didn't know it was your sock. Anyhoo, sweetie, I've been thinking about a new goal celebration... now, did your English teacher mention the word bukake?"

Didn't the Spurs fans a couple of years ago, make up a completely fictitious transfer rumour, to see if it got knicked by the press, and run with? An low and behold, it did by quite a few

Anyone who believes anything written by Alan Nixon deserves to be duped

To be honest, while it's interesting to hear about Jordan's story I'd be pretty disappointed if anyone on here thought that that was a surprise or that was how it worked.

And where is Rushian anymore? Bloody good poster.
