Car Insurance

I recently passed my test and am looking for my first car insurance.

 

Feck me the prices are ridic man. Cheapest quote so far is 3.5k (I saw one for 18k!!!)...that's using all them search engines you hear about on the tele. When i was a learning driver with L plates on with a provisional, I was only paying 90 quid a month!

 

I've also done a pass plus course. Im 27. I live in Manchester (M8). No garage or drive in my house unfortunately.

 

Car is just a bog standard 1.4e Golf. Insurance group 4.

 

Does anyone have any tips on how to get a cheaper quote from same set of insurers?

 

Otherwise fiuck this im sticking to my 90 quid per mounth bus and train pass

 

Hard to do drive-by's though POW POW!
