claiming on Mobile phone insurance

the lass has this with her Orange phone. she has a Satio phone, which is acting the w***** and being a very s*** phone. there is no major thing wrong with it that would warrant getting a new phone, but there are many little annoying things wrong with it that is making it unusable. Now, knowing mobile phone insurances are notorioulsy difficult to claim on, has anyone ever had a reasonable easy claim on mobile insurance that doesnt involve having to get a crime ref number or send the phone back in one piece?
