Swipe Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 (edited) Where's the transfer thread?? Anyway, his move is official Yossi joins Chelsea Liverpool have today completed the transfer of Yossi Benayoun to Chelsea Football Club. The two clubs last month agreed an undisclosed fee for the player, who joined Liverpool from West Ham in 2007, and the deal has been confirmed this afternoon. The 30-year-old Israeli international made 172 appearances and scored 37 goals during his three seasons with the Reds. A Liverpool spokesman said: "Yossi's departure was agreed between the player and Rafael Benitez a number of weeks ago. Everybody at Liverpool FC wishes him well for the future." Edit: Oops, he's just joined one Chelsea, not two. Edited July 2, 2010 by Swipe
CarraLegend Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 f*** him. Not really bothered at all. It'll be interesting to see if this is added to the "£12m-£15m kitty" but I suspect it wont be and actually forms part of it.
Swipe Posted July 2, 2010 Author Posted July 2, 2010 Not bothered either. And yeah - "undisclosed" fees can be so handy at times, eh.
Sion Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 f*** him. Not really bothered at all. It'll be interesting to see if this is added to the "£12m-£15m kitty" but I suspect it wont be and actually forms part of it. yep. We should be up to at least £18m already by now. See it when I believe it.
Gomez Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Excellent news. Yesterday the manager says he doesn't want anyone to leave, today we sell one of our better players. Either RH thinks this is a good idea (in which case his first error took less than 24 hours) or, more likely, somebody else made this decision and the delaying it for the new manager to rubber stamp was a sham.

RedHarvest Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 'I am very excited to come to a club like Chelsea, it is a big club and I think it is a dream for every player' First rat to jump ship - f*** him if his heart wasn't in it, but I think we need to replace him with a similar (preferably better) tricky, between the lines type player.
baz2107 Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Jewdas!! On form he's a big loss but he was so frustrating to watch, hope he enjoys it on Chelseas bench
Gunga Din Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Excellent news. Yesterday the manager says he doesn't want anyone to leave, today we sell one of our better players. Either RH thinks this is a good idea (in which case his first error took less than 24 hours) or, more likely, somebody else made this decision and the delaying it for the new manager to rubber stamp was a sham. the deal was already pretty much done. there was probably nothing Roy could have done to stop. probabl;y similar to Heskey leaving when we changed from Houllier to Benitez. but hey, lets make a big drama out of it
Keita Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 undisclosed fee, So we cant do the sums and plan Roy's spending. I bet every out going transfer is a undisclosed fee.
whitewidow Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Meh, don't let the door catch you on the way out. Worked in some matches, utterly useless in others. Thank you and Good bye.
Gerry Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 the deal was already pretty much done. there was probably nothing Roy could have done to stop. probabl;y similar to Heskey leaving when we changed from Houllier to Benitez. but hey, lets make a big drama out of it Yup. He was always going to leave.
Gunga Din Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 undisclosed fee, So we cant do the sums and plan Roy's spending. I bet every out going transfer is a undisclosed fee. most clubs do that now, dont they. its not just us

What's the point?
Boca Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Hurrah let's make this the transfer thread. More outgoings than incomings I suspect.
Spion kop Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 not bothered, limited player couldn't start games, only made an impact as sub against already beaten teams usualy.
Sion Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 'I am very excited to come to a club like Chelsea, it is a big club and I think it is a dream for every player' What a prick deserves a booing for that
anfield11 Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 First rat to jump ship - f*** him if his heart wasn't in it, but I think we need to replace him with a similar (preferably better) tricky, between the lines type player. Kenny is in Turkey signing up Turan. oops, sorry not ITK at all. But hopefully.
New York Red Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Jewdas!! On form he's a big loss but he was so frustrating to watch, hope he enjoys it on Chelseas bench No need for that.
Gomez Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 No need for that. Specially as Judas literally means Jew anyway
ManxRed Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 What else can he say? He needs to win the support of supporters of a new club now, who are paying his wages, he's bound to butter them up. We shouldn't take those types of comments as a backhanded insult against our own club. He served us well, had some good games and some indifferent ones but overall he worked hard. We don't know if he wanted to leave or whether the club wanted to sell him, so why is he being despised now? Good luck Yossi.
Billy Talbot Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 See yer Yossi. He's useless apart from Champions League footy where he's commentated on by David Pleat.
Gunga Din Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Then why delay it two weeks? What's the point? maybe he was on hols. maybe whoever signs teh cheque at chelse was on hols. who knows. either way, i doubt there is any real conspiracy Jewdas!! On form he's a big loss but he was so frustrating to watch, hope he enjoys it on Chelseas bench f*** off, you classless, racist piece of s***
johngibo YPC Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 not bothered, limited player couldn't start games, only made an impact as sub against already beaten teams usualy. Sign more unlimited players!!!He was a good player for us. Sensational for 6 months 08/09. We're gonna miss him
Sion Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Our board will probably miss the shirt sales in Israel more than the player
