David Hodgson Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 A new manager, a new era, and some encouraging signs today. A better day to be a Liverpool fan. Welcome aboard Roy. Looking forward to seeing you in action.
Jay Blizzay Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Thought Roy conducted himself very well in his interview. Welcome to Liverpool FC, Roy.
Conrad Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 about time we had a thread welcoming our new manager. I know for the majority of posters on here, this appointment is a disgrace. The captain of Liverpool seems happy with the appointment, but hey what does he know. So, I wish Roy the best of luck. I think he has a good chance of engineering a top 4 finish if we can hang on to our best players. I think this is a potentially very shrewd appointment, not on the face of it an inspiring one. But let's wait and see how things pan out and give the new man a chance to make his mark..
Leroy Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Very articulate, seems a very nice man Everyone seems to like him, hope the players take to him.I'm sure a decent season awaits.
David Hodgson Posted July 1, 2010 Author Posted July 1, 2010 Very articulate, seems a very nice man Everyone seems to like him, hope the players take to him.I'm sure a decent season awaits. He seems a highly intelligent man. Not a common trait in football people.
Davvo Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Looking forward to seeing what he can do. I realise he's not many people's cup of tea, but I'll certainly be giving him the benefit of any doubt. He deserves our support in trying to get the football side of things back on track. Welcome to our club Roy, I'm sure our famously loyal fans will greet you with respect and encouragement.
Stanley Leisure Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 He seems a highly intelligent man. Not a common trait in football people. Why don't you f*cking marry him then? Anyway...enjoyed his interviews, I'm quite looking forward to the next few weeks - some good stuff might happen. Welcome Roy.
honourablegeorge Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Yeah, go on then. Welcome Roy, go and get stuck in.
McBain Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Welcome Roy Hope you prove your doubters wrong. And get the chance to attend the funerals of both G and H before your contract ends
Red Kent Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Even though I voted 'no' to have him, now we have and listening to his first press conference I am warming to him already. I think the players will respond to what appears to be a more warmer approach that what Rafa had. In England we've had Sven's loose approach and Capello's strict one, England need someone inbetween - that man could be Roy. England's loss is our gain. The King is dead, long live the King.
Gunga Din Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 it was strange today watching the press conference. not having a manager makes following the team a bit odd. but now we have a manager again, and i'm looking forward to the new season now, looking forward to seeing how he goes about it, and getting 3 points against Arsenal
cymrococh Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 My career shows kudos is not something I have actively sought.Brilliant.
CarraLegend Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Even though I voted 'no' to have him, now we have and listening to his first press conference I am warming to him already. Same here, it was a good interview. And anyone who uses "Woy" or "Yes man" should be executed.
David Hodgson Posted July 1, 2010 Author Posted July 1, 2010 Same here, it was a good interview. And anyone who uses "Woy" or "Yes man" should be executed. Amen to that. RH will suffice.
Stanley Leisure Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Same here, it was a good interview. And anyone who uses "Woy" or "Yes man" should be executed. Unless you then refer to our former manager as "Wafa".
Red Kent Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 You can now put money on the Arsenal game kicking off at 16:00 on the Sunday
D.Boon Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Accepting the criticisms of the appointment i hope he pulls some rabbits out of hats and smashes the f*** out of the league.
cymrococh Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 I propose that David Hodgson change his name to avoid tedious (the manager not the poster!) sh*t. Plus he'll love the attention. Accepting the criticisms of the appointment i hope he pulls some rabbits out of hats and smashes the f*** out of the league.Rascally rabbits?
DanielS Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 (edited) Rascally rabbits? That's just evil. Hope there is no conflict with big games and the hunting season. Edited July 1, 2010 by DanielS
Hassony Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 I propose that David Hodgson change his name to avoid tedious (the manager not the poster!) sh*t. montse should change her name to sheila
dorgie Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Good luck Roy. Welcome to England's most successful club. Let's hope this season is the first few rungs on the ladder to re-claiming the title.
Bootser Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Welcome aboard Roy. Like others I also thought he handled his interview very well.
JRC Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Welcome Roy, you have my total support in proving me wrong to doubt you. Very good interview.
