Serko Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 apparantly these rumours are not true. He has said he's signed a 3 year contract with liverpool and as he has started more than 75% of games the work permit should not be an issue. He is looking to buy a house and wants to start training from this thursday to ensure he is in peak condition and can work his way into the first team.
McBain Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 Watched him in the flesh against Germany. His movement was good and he looked sharp Good to know that at least someone hasn't jumped ship

With Torres, Yossi, Riera and Kuyt going, he'll probably get a game without being anywhere near peak condition....
fyds Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 With Torres, Yossi, Riera and Kuyt going, he'll probably get a game without being anywhere near peak condition....You know for a fact all four are going do you?
AE Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 You know for a fact all four are going do you? Yossi and Riera will be gone Torres, Gerrard and Kuyt are the "acid test" to our owners and directors real commitment to the fans
Maldini Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 Really looking forward to seeing him next season. He could be the only light to come from this season, he's fantastically mental so he should be some fun.

Stevie H Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 i like him. plus him on a freebie, sell riera for £6m = more gravy for RBS. textbook.

Boca Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 ...and some quotes "I am going to Liverpool," he told Nieuwsblad. "I have signed there for three years. I repeat: no pre-agreement - a real contract. "And the departure of Benítez changes nothing. I have maintained contact with the executive board of Liverpool and everything is good. "Everything is in order since in the last two years I have played 75 per cent of the matches for my national side.Next I am looking for a house. "On the 14th or 15th July I will join the squad for a training camp in Switzerland. But, as from Thursday, I want start my individual training programme so I can show them immediately that I am worth a place in the side." click
Kite Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 Yeah, that's definite good news and sounds like he has a great attitude too. As above, him and Maxi on the wings will give us a nice bit of quality there.
Swipe Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 Agree. In the face of all the negativity surrounding the club, Jova and Maxi on either side could be very useful next year.

Leo No.8 Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 (edited) Maxi was a revelation for me at the end of last season, when he switched to the right and we tried to be a bit more adventurous as a team. Wasn't too sure when he played the first few games on the left and put in workmanlike performances whether he offered us anything we didn't already have, but he came on really quickly. Can't wait to watch him and Aquilani this season personally, I think they both showed glimpses of being a bit special as they got used to the pace of the game. I think if we can keep our top players for next season Jovanovic might be the final factor in our attack. Him left and Maxi right will see us keep the ball much better. With Mascher sitting, and Gerrard and Aquilani pushing up to support Torres that's a f*cking hell of a team. If he can keep his top players Woy might actually not have to sign anyone else or do all that much for us to push right back up into the top four again. The players are there for me, if we keep them then we'll be OK. Edited June 30, 2010 by Leo No.8

Epic Swindle Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 Can't see Masch staying. Lucas/Aqualini/Gerrard/Maxi/Jovanic as our midfield 5 would work well I reckon. A left back has got be a priority.

Too lightweight. Aqualad looked lightweight with Masch, never mind without him. If Masch goes he needs replacing

The stupid c***, should he not give it away?
Stevie H Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 The stupid c***, should he not give it away?it was the usual 'no pace / doesn't get stuck in' s****. same thinking which keeps england from progressing in world cups.
