I'll go for Dalglish therefore no to Hodgson but I think there's a serious danger will end up with someone worse than either of them

I like Hodgson. I think he's a nice guy, an intelligent manager and is obviously well respected in the game. I don't think he'd do a terrible job for us (for example, I'd prefer Hodgson over O'Neill), but nor do I think he'd take us back to where we need to be.

 

For me, his appointment would be driven primarily by political rather than football reasons. He's not going to rock the boat, and he's not going to unite the fans (as Dalglish would).

 

It would be a sign of the further decline of LFC, of our expectations being lowered, and could potentially (depending on how paranoid one wants to get) part of a tactic to get our world class players to want to leave.

 

The idea of us paying Fulham a couple million for their manager, and then Fulham potentially paying no compensation to get Sven as manager, is pretty twisted.
