I had an hour or so to kill this morning and as the weather is decent, decided not to sit in the coffee shop/ pretend to work but meander around Dulwich Park. Walked a bit, ran a bit, looked around aimlessly a bit, looked at some signs, checked out the jogging path, nearly bought a bottle of water. You know the sort of thing you do when you have no real time to do anything pending a 12o'clock school run. As I started the car to leave the park and two detectives from the Met knocked on the car window and asked me to get out. I was questioned about my "suspicious behaviour" and "being a man alone". They took my name and address etc. I had been watched by three of them for well over half an hour.

Sad statement of affairs when a bloke meandering around a park, smiling as it was a nice day, is seen as suspicious. I suppose they are keeping poeple safe, prevention is better than cure and they may well be on the lookout for someone and as such I should be grateful but....

I wonder if I can have them for illegal stop and search? ;)
