A poll to see if existing season ticket holders will not renew in protest at Gillett and Hicks.

The only way we get rid of these two is to hit them in the pocket.

Petitions, emails, posters, marches etc... is not going to get the job done.

I must admit, I have not made my mind up yet. I'm certainly not joining the auto cup ticket scheme.

However, with wanting G&H out and not being inspired by the prospect of Roy Hodgson, I am giving serious thought to not renewing.

Is there the appetite for a renewal boycott?

After twenty years of trying, I've managed to get someone to sell me theirs on a permanent basis. Not sure if I'll do the Auto scheme though.

Heard of a few people selling theirs, think they're daft. As said above, the owners won't be here forever and when they're gone, there'll be a few who'll be regretting being so hasty.

If, big IF, the owners go they will be selling to someone who will have a new stadium up within a small number of years.

In the meantime and whilst they don't sell not only is LFC being constantly raped, we are applying the Vasline. Fan affinity and brand devotion ...

Before anyone starts I'm not knocking any individual who decides to renew, everyone has to make their own decision. I'm just stating what I see as facts. Personally, the club will not get another penny from me by any means while the c**** still own us.

I have been using my mates for the last three seasons.... decided not to take it for next season, mainly due to the whole fiasco, plus the fact that next season will be a whole lot of Monday night games due to the Uefa Cup (which I struggle to get to)... means f*** all as he is going to renew it anyway..

Not sure what not renewing it will do, seeing as though someone somewhere will be busting a gut to pay the £700 themselves...

Can't really disagree with any of that but a seasie to buy to keep instead of just renting was too good an opportunity to turn down.

Plus it's also a chance, if it ever gets sorted, to make a positive contribution to a boycott.

I don't have a season ticket, but I've turned down the offer to buy one this last month off a mate. Been on the waiting list for over a decade.

Yes, I'm giving up going altogether. From now on the only thing I will turn up at Anfield for is marchs or protests.

i've cancelled my e-season ticket and will not be signing up to the auto ticket scheme.

I think a properly observed boycott could be quite powerful but we are nowhere organising one. too many fans don't know/understand/care what is going on and whilst there will always be someone to take your ticket then a boycott would not be effective.

SOS made some good points at the meeting on saturday about boycotting autocup scheme - doesn't mean you dont have to miss the game. you can still buy a ticket nearer the time but the club can't budget against your guaranteed income and hopefully it will put some downward pressure on ticket prices if they are nervous about gate receipts. also makes it easier to prehaps attempt a boycott in the future when there has been enough publicity to make it effective.

i'm also not buying any merchandise - not sure it will effect the club in the short term but is making me feel marginally better"

i'll renew. these two clowns wont be here forever, and things will get better. give your seasie up and you wont get it back unless you rent it out.

I've already renewed for these reasons. No point in renting it out in protest either as it still gets paid for.

Its a scary time right now but I believe in the most logical outcome. The current owners cannot afford to run the club anymore, and they don't have the financial power to build the stadium which is where the real money is. Terminal decline of LFC benefits nobody so they have to sell and will soon.

They are trying it on with the price at the moment, but eventually they will have to lower their demands.

Sell Nando and they do; that and lower the wage policy over the next few years.

If they can reduce the debt (again by selling Nando) the money for the stadium will come. They can probably get half of it from naming rights alone.

The key to our long term future this summer is keeping Nando, simple as.

I understand the current protest against the owners, however i have been going the match for over 40+yrs, I support LFC. Not the owners.

If anyone can give me a good reason to stop the support of MY club then I will consider it.

Every club is fleeced by the owners, I dont know of many who have sold a club at a great loss to themselves.

Yes i hate these idiots in charge at present, I blame them for the loss of a good manager and the decline of the team over the last few years.

I know they are taking /making money out of the club and stand to make a huge profit when they sell.

Again which club have an owner who is not interested in making money, only Chelsea spring to mind, too earlt to tell with City.

We get new owners and they will look to make money, even Moores made money when he sold.

Not sure if me giving up my season ticket will have a great effect, someone will take it on and then I suffer for years once they have sold up and moved on.

I for 1 will be renewing my season ticket, However my hatred of the idiots in charge will last well after they leave.

I've already renewed but not gone for the Auto Cup.

That's partly because of the potential for a boycott but mainly 'cos a) I've never done the FA & League cup matches and b) the Euro games last season were my first in 8 years and I realised how sh*te they are. Apart from a handful of opponents in Europe there's no rivalry (a large part of my enjoyment at matches is hatred of other teams... and wishing injuries upon them) and for all the noise they make I can't understand anything the fans are chanting; it almost makes the noise/atmosphere irrelevant. It's like they're doing it in another language! Oh, and I was p*ssed off I couldn't get out of the scheme when we went out of the CL into the EL.

So I'm not gonna say it's all the boycott... but such a boycott is needed. It would never work with the Premiership but if one (and probably just one) cup competition was identified then it would have an impact.

8 people in this thread have said they have given up their season ticket. is that an actual seasie or people just saying they would have if they had a seasie, or giving up an e-season ticket?
