SkippyjonJones Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 http://msn.foxsports.com/foxsoccer/worldcup/story/american-flag-burning-by-liverpool-fans-should-incense-yanks as a Liverpool fan living in the states I initially thought that burning the flag was a bit out of order. However as I have previous stood outside the directors entrance with my American daughter shouting “yanks out” in a protest I was on slightly shaky ground to do any complaining. However now I’ve seen the above article I’m all in favour of burning more flags until this idiot and any other American journalists actually understand what we are on about. Turning it into a “Brits vs yanks” debate is so far wide of the mark its unbelievable.. or maybe not as its fox……
Kvarme Ate My Food Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 you’ve embarrassed your country, your club and your Queen. Yeah, I said it. hehe.like anyone gives a s***.
matty Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 I've never wanted to pour petrol over 'old glory' as much as I do now. Let's go! We now know what winds them up!!!
stressederic Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 hehe.like anyone gives a s***. Personally I'm mortified about it. How on earth will I be able to look the Queen in the eye now.
Redray Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 That's pretty mild by Fox standards. More a rallying cry ahead of the match on Saturday than anything else.
redjersey Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 f*** me, I hadn't realised the Queen was embarrassed about it. What's she said?
RBM Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 Personally I'm mortified about it. How on earth will I be able to look the Queen in the eye now. You won't have, just stick a paper bag over her head next time.
Hassony Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 Personally I'm mortified about it. How on earth will I be able to look the Queen in the eye now. Poor Kahnee, he'll never be invited to do the royal variety show now
Billy Dane Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 I've never understood this obsession with flags, and going so OTT as this ponce has will just lead to American flag burning becoming even more of an international past time.
Falconhoof Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 What else can we burn that Americans feel strongly about? Vietnamese villagers ? No wait...
New York Red Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 http://www.americanflagsexpress.com/shell/flags.htm?gclid=CKP-0M_TkKICFUjE3AodLWJZbQ Order up lads. F*ck this guy.
Kvarme Ate My Food Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 What a complete clueless gimp he is. I can't say I'm at all arsed about what he thinks or says though.
redjersey Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 http://www.americanf...CFUjE3AodLWJZbQ Order up lads. F*ck this guy. They sell quite a range. No mention of flammability though - they're probably missing a trick there.
Zoob Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 Burning the flag is protected under the rights of the First Amendment. For me, this means it's un-American not to burn the flag
Kvarme Ate My Food Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 I'll gladly wipe my a*** on the flag, on the basis that it's just a piece of cloth.
New York Red Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 I'll gladly wipe my a*** on the flag, on the basis that it's just a piece of cloth. Don't do it. They are all made of nylon now. You'll get no traction and you'll have a klinkery ringpiece.
johngibo YPC Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 They sell quite a range. No mention of flammability though - they're probably missing a trick there. The ones at the protest weren't very flammable at allGap in the market there
