Technical Advice Needed

My laptop seems to experience problems playing videos off YouTube. It's slowed down so much, that it takes about 20-30 mins just a stream a 3-4 minute clip.

Yet the BBC website seems fine when watching the footy clips they have on there for the world cup.

 

Also I sometimes use the YouTube to MP3 converter, and even that has slowed down significantly.

 

All other browsing seems fine. Laptop sits on a network, but all other machines are fine. I've cleaned up my machine - was told to clean out browsing history, cookies, defrag & do a disc clean up - still the same problem.

 

Any ideas as to what the problem might be & how I can resolve this?

 

Just for the record... already bashed with a hammer & re-installed java.
