melia Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 bbc Really good player. Too many injuries. Shame.I hate it when that happens. Seen too many of them over the past 20 years - could have been great but, sadly, injury-prone.
Kahnee Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 Even he didn't trust himself to be fit for selection...
fred Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 Byebye Fabio and best of luck wherever you go - shame about the injuries, but those two freekicks alone were worth whatever the club payed you in wages while you were here.
Swagger Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 Fantastic player, shame about his injury record. Best of luck, Fabio.
Boca Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 Bye bye FabioWe wont forget your Old Trafford goalYou could strike a ball and pick a passSuch a pity you were made of glass
Hassony Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 Bye don't let the door hit you on the way out* *just in case you get a career ending injury
DanielS Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 (edited) Another victim of the curse. It seems that the better our fullbacks are the more they suffer. Look at poor Babbel and Rob Jones. Edited May 25, 2010 by DanielS
Raj Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 Another victim of the curse. It seems that the better our right backs are the more they suffer. Look at poor Babbel and Rob Jones. do our left backs have the same curse too?
Hassony Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 Another victim of the curse. It seems that the better our right backs are the more they suffer. Look at poor Babbel and Rob Jones. Degen and Heggem too
DanielS Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 do our left backs have the same curse too? I meant to say fullbacks, but got it wrong. The misery and humiliation will last at least 3 seconds.
Kahnee Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 I meant to say fullbacks, but got it wrong. The misery and humiliation will last at least 3 seconds. What if we keep reminding you?
DanielS Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 What if we keep reminding you? I don't think anybody on this forum would be the type to remind somebody of a mistake or similar over and over and over again. Just wouldn't happen. Neigh?
Kahnee Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 I don't think anybody on this forum would be the type to remind somebody of a mistake or similar over and over and over again. Just wouldn't happen. Neigh? Very true. I always forget the forum motto of 'forgive, forget, move on... Gwynneth'
Rory Fitzgerald Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 Strangely enough I think one of his best performances was his cameo in midfield away to Pompey last season when we went into the game with the strangest team I have ever seen Rafa pick.
Hobbsie Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 Very true. I always forget the forum motto of 'forgive, forget, move on... Gwynneth' Apple
johngibo YPC Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 When he was good he was f***ing greatShame, but then if he wasn't injury prone we probably wouldn't have got him. Certainly not on a free, so we can't moan too much
honourablegeorge Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 We seem to have more than our share of sicknotes. Although I bet every supporter, regardless of team, feels that way. Either way, I'm tired of it. I want an army of machines that never get injured.
San Diego Red Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 Scored a couple of crackers as well. It was nice while it lasted. Best of luck, Aurelio
fyds Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 Some where down the line I reckon he picked up one of those injuries that puts all the strains and tensions in the body slightly out of kilter and makes something else go 'ping' on a regular basis. Terrific little player and well loved by everyone at the club by the sound of it. I canonly wish him the best. Cya Fab.
Redkop Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 Sorry to see him go, thought he was a good player to the squad when he was injury free. Best of luck Fabio for the future. YNWA
Raj Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 Some where down the line I reckon he picked up one of those injuries that puts all the strains and tensions in the body slightly out of kilter and makes something else go 'ping' on a regular basis. Apparently, after he tore his achillies tendon, he suffered continual problems with his calf as a result of that initial injury
Swipe Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 He was a good player but it's best he goes. No point keeping a player we can't rely on. Getting a new LB in is even more massive now. No way can Insua be first choice next year.
Eiler99 Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 He was a good player but it's best he goes. No point keeping a player we can't rely on. By the same token we should be getting rid of Degen. None of us want that though.
Swipe Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 By the same token we should be getting rid of Degen. None of us want that though. The team should be build around Degen. Or over him.
