I think the idea is to have Baines attacking and Gerrard cutting inside. Trouble is, Baines looks very unsure of his role, and Gerrardis being dragged into the centre becuae they're dominating possession

Whatever way the result goes and whatever way the half time subs go, the back 4 should all have itchy arses because they have been rubbish. Not one of them have enhanced their status within the squad.

Yep. Gerrard is virtually playing centrally anyway, mainly because he's not getting the ball. There's not much of a pattern to our play at all and the link between midfield and attack is non existant. Lampard and Barry at least give us a bit more movement and control.
