I agree, it's a pile of self indulgent w*** and at three minutes long i'd also ad overblown too.

 

 

But my main criticism would be that it's very similar to an old reebok campaign, which used the idea of what would famous footballers have done if they hadn't made it in the game.

aye - me too. Even though I work in advertising, I hate the way Adidas pay the wedge & are the official sponsor & Nike just hijack everything and appear to be sponsors. And Nike don't do football, they should f***off

Its a good ad, no doubt about it - they mix the football up well with the ancillary pieces. Love the adulation of Cannavaro with the beauties executing scissor kicks.

 

Ronaldinho should not be in it and I dont like the pandering to Ronaldo's ego - he gets far too much of the ad - thats my only gripe.

 

If it wasnt for Thierry Henry then Keith Andrews and Glenn Whelan would have made that ad. I shake my fist in your general direction Thievery !!

Wasn't particularly impressed myself, the Cannavaro bit was the cleverest, but the Drogba bit looked like it had been filmed by someone who never actually watched a football match in their life. I wouldn't want to watch it again.
