Dublin to Barcelona by land, sea and rail

I'm supposed to be going to Barcelona next week for Primavera festival but this Ash cloud nonsense is making me a bit nervous so I've started looking at alternative ways of getting there.

 

As far as I can tell we have two alternatives:

 

1. Ferry from Rosslare to Roscoff (18hrs 30 mins) > bus from Roscoff to Barcelona (12/13 hours)

 

2. Ferry to Holyhead > train to London > Eurostar to Paris > trainhotel to Barcelona

 

The second option would be a bit less gruesome and probably a good bit quicker, but there's a bigger chance of missing connections.

 

Anyone know of any better ways? Is there a train from Roscoff to Barcelona?
