CarraLegend Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 Laugh away!! PFA Premier League XI: Hart; Ivanovic, Dunne, Vermaelen, Evra; Valencia, Fabregas, Fletcher, Milner; Rooney, Drogba The ignorance of Reina is truly astonishing.
Sion Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 (edited) Ivanovic? Fletcher? kinhell... I imagine Valencia is in it because of a run of about 5 games where he did some decent crosses for Rooney to score headers... because he's only had 7 assists all season, which for a player playing in the possible league winners is pretty poor. Just surprised Nani wasn't selected for the other wing. Joe Hart was guaranteed a place in that team when he was nominated for young player of the year Edited April 25, 2010 by Sion
Benzo-13 Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 I'm amazed that Given isn't the goalie there considering the commentator w***fest that goes on about him.
Nebraska Red Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 Laugh away!! PFA Premier League XI: Hart; Ivanovic, Dunne, Vermaelen, Evra; Valencia, Fabregas, Fletcher, Milner; Rooney, Drogba The ignorance of Reina is truly astonishing. No Giggs or Scholes!! Questions will be asked in Parliament tomorrow.
Zoob Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Think the team sums up the kind of season it's been - players, teams (and officials) well under par. Top 4 have 30 defeats between them. Can't imagine when that last happened. I wouldn't argue with Fabregas, Milner and Rooney, but the rest are pretty random. And it's ridiculous that Reina isn't there given how absolutely amazing he's been this season.

Swipe Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Dear me! You'd fancy your chances against that defence, wouldn't you.
Hassony Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Reina should be in there. not really, he once made a howler against everton, that's why he is s***
CarraLegend Posted April 26, 2010 Author Posted April 26, 2010 Congrats by the way to 24 year old James Milner on winning young player of the year.
Hassony Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Congrats by the way to 24 year old James Milner on winning young player of the year. more than 250 club games, 7 international caps, 46 under 21 caps it's been quite a breakthrough season for the young lad
Rory Fitzgerald Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Congrats by the way to 24 year old James Milner on winning young player of the year. Cant believe he beat the evergreen Ryan Giggs - he's still considered for that category, no?
Maldini Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 They should make it u21 players. 24 was young when the award was established, it's a player's peak now though.
Barnesy_10 Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Congrats by the way to 24 year old James Milner on winning young player of the year.couldn't believe that when I heard.... f***ing hell, hes like Peter Pan
Gerry Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Dunne, Vermaelen Your two favourite players right in the heart of defence. Some shockers in that team.
Nerik Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 # FergusonAlexSir Evra, Fletcher and Rooney made the PFA team of the season. Been asked to come up with my best ever XI. Need a few minutes to think about it. # FergusonAlexSir Here I go: Famous Grouse, J&B, Lephroaig,Bells, Johnie Walker Black Label,Glenmorangie,Pulteney,Jameson,Coleraine,Glenfiddich & Ballantine's
floyd Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Fletcher must be in their to console him on missing out on the Champions League final last season. Loved how many members of the gutter press said they would of beaten Barca had he'd been playing, so this must be some consolation for the tw4t.
CarraLegend Posted April 26, 2010 Author Posted April 26, 2010 Your two favourite players right in the heart of defence. Some shockers in that team. Haha indeed. Vermaelen is rat muck. Thankfully Clichy wasnt put in there!
Zoob Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Haha indeed. Vermaelen is rat muck. Thankfully Clichy wasnt put in there! I really don't think Vermaelen is that bad. He's just what Arsenal need - he throws himself about, makes a lot of crucial tackles and is actually very good in the air despite not being the biggest. I've got a couple of mates who are Arsenal season ticket holders and they think he's been excellent.

I am sure that Valencia's 2nd half of last season at Wigan was far more noticed by his fellow pros than the first few months of this season...
Conrad Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Bizarre that Reina isn't in there. And Lampard and Malouda shoud be in ahead of fletcher and valencia
lfc003 Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 more than 250 club games, 7 international caps, 46 under 21 caps it's been quite a breakthrough season for the young lad Made his Premier League debut in November 2002, Well chuffed for him that in his 9th Premier League season he's finally won Young player of the year.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 I assume the bench is Webb, Atkinson, Bennett...
