Laugh away!!

PFA Premier League XI: Hart; Ivanovic, Dunne, Vermaelen, Evra; Valencia, Fabregas, Fletcher, Milner; Rooney, Drogba

The ignorance of Reina is truly astonishing.

Ivanovic? Fletcher? kinhell...

I imagine Valencia is in it because of a run of about 5 games where he did some decent crosses for Rooney to score headers... because he's only had 7 assists all season, which for a player playing in the possible league winners is pretty poor.

Just surprised Nani wasn't selected for the other wing.

Joe Hart was guaranteed a place in that team when he was nominated for young player of the year

No Giggs or Scholes!! Questions will be asked in Parliament tomorrow.

Think the team sums up the kind of season it's been - players, teams (and officials) well under par. Top 4 have 30 defeats between them. Can't imagine when that last happened.

I wouldn't argue with Fabregas, Milner and Rooney, but the rest are pretty random. And it's ridiculous that Reina isn't there given how absolutely amazing he's been this season.

Currently leading the golden gloves from Cech too by 1 game - amazing considering the season we've had.

Cant believe he beat the evergreen Ryan Giggs - he's still considered for that category, no?

Dunne, Vermaelen

Your two favourite players right in the heart of defence. ;)

Some shockers in that team.

Evra, Fletcher and Rooney made the PFA team of the season. Been asked to come up with my best ever XI. Need a few minutes to think about it.

Fletcher must be in their to console him on missing out on the Champions League final last season. Loved how many members of the gutter press said they would of beaten Barca had he'd been playing, so this must be some consolation for the tw4t.

I really don't think Vermaelen is that bad. He's just what Arsenal need - he throws himself about, makes a lot of crucial tackles and is actually very good in the air despite not being the biggest. I've got a couple of mates who are Arsenal season ticket holders and they think he's been excellent.

Goes on calendar year right? I am sure that Valencia's 2nd half of last season at Wigan was far more noticed by his fellow pros than the first few months of this season...
