Shirohana Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Right, I'm getting royally pissed off with the c***. It all started when he moved in (he lives in the flat below). I was unaware of him moving in and, with the flat being empty and having just broken up with my girlfriend, I had a couple of mates round, twas a friday evening. It must have been around 12 when me mates went home, so not too bad. Anyway, next day I wake up and go down to check my mailbox and I find a note. Seems someone just moved in earlier in the day and accuses me of making a racket (yeah, riight) and that if it carried on (hello?) he'd warn his brother, who supposedly works for the council. So I go round and he's not in. I promptly write a letter telling him that I'm a sociable chap who just broke up with his girlfriend and had a couple of mates round to help cheer me up. I wrote that if I'd known I would of been a bit quieter. Later that day he shows up at my door, looking like his cat's just died. Tells me of how he just moved in and if it's always like this he'd have to go to his brother (yeah, I know that already). I told him that because his flat's empty it's probably not helping and that I'm not a noisy person, but every now and then I have some people round, which is quite normal. Seemed amicable enough, so he went back down, and I was convinced we had some sort of agreement. 2 days later the doorbell rings. It's him, pissed as a rat saying sorry that he's playing his music at 12 o' clock at night. I told him it's fine and that if it bothered me I'd let him know, just like we agreed to do.About a week later he's back again, saying sorry for playing his music loud again. I reassured him it's ok, no bother. Told him it's fine and that it works both ways. At this point in time I'm getting slightly pissed off, cause I like to keep myself to myself, and this bloke keeps ringing the doorbell. Ok. A month passes, with nothing spectacular happening, apart from me taking care not to disturb him (wearing socks at home, being careful not to make any noise. Wearing headphones while listening to loud music etc. I'm at work and my phone rings. It's the housing company, saying that he's lodged a complaint against me. Seems I'm slamming doors in the middle of the night and he can clearly hear me walking around. Now I get up at 6 in the morning and get to bed about eleven. I don't sleepwalk and even if I did I wouldn't put on me boots to walk around in. I tell the landlord it must be a mistake. I tell him about the aforementioned incidents. I tell him I've lived here 8 years and the previous tennant and I were in good stead. He seems to understand the situation (or at least that's the impression he gives me). and I hang up, pissed off at the situation, but happy they understand where I'm coming from. Ok, last week. I get home after a hard day at work. Having not watched TV for a couple of days I decide on a quiet night in and turn on my digital box.Nothing. No signal at all. Now I work for the cable company so on monday (whole weekend without TV = no footy) I go visit the technicians. Seems my cable is f***ed, but they can't put their finger on it.They decide to send a network technician to have a look .He comes round on Tuesday, an dafter a short investigation he tells me that the cable, which goes down through my neighbour's apartment, seems broken 2,7 metres from my wall connector. It dawns on me. I heard the f***** messing about in that corner of the apartment before the weekend. The technician goes and has a look. within 15 minutes he's back. The t***'s only gone and cut the cable and rerouted it to his tv!The fella tells me he's fixed it though so I test it and it does seem fine. I ring the housing company to let them know and tell them I want it on the record he's trying to steal my cable. (Ok bare with me, I'm nearly done)To cut this long story a bit shorter, I get home today and half my channels aren't working. I know it's him. I just have no idea how to go about this. (we aren't on speaking terms) . Help! (and no, I don't think hitting him with a hammer will work)
