Team for Burnley & Match Thread

What would everyone do? Personally I'd look at resting a few for Thursday after this last week, something along the lines of

Maxi Aquilani Lucas Benayoun

Babel Pacheco

 

Carra needs to be in the back 4 for organising, and I'd say to Aquilani if you do well you're in for Thursday and the same with Babel playing up top. Playing this side also manages to rest 4 of our key players for THursday (Gerrard, Kuyt, Masch and either Johnson or Agger) Not playing Ngog cuz he's not up to it against Atletico and this gives Babel and Pacheco chance to stake a claim

Agree with the sentiments, rest the big players such as Kuyt, Masch, Gerrard, Johnson, Agger and Aquilani of course - another couple of rest-games for him and he should be ready for pre-season

Of course it matters, for the integrity of the competition. We owe teams like Wolves to turn up against their relegation rivals just like they do when they play the mancs etc. Err, wait..

Not much pace in attack there. I'd probably bring in Babel instead of Aquilani, move Yossi to the right and put Maxi behind Kuyt.

He should give a few of those players a game. Aquilani, Pacheco should start. N'Gog strapped into the stocks near the corner flag...give Kuyt something to aim for.
