KIDORIGINAL Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 Please don't tell me he spoke exclusively to that rag? And this week of all weeks?
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 course he didn't, they always dress up general quotes as 'exclusives'
johngibo YPC Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 course he didn't, they always dress up general quotes as 'exclusives' Why do people always fall for that
fyds Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 course he didn't, they always dress up general quotes as 'exclusives'Correct - any one of many outlets for News Corps International or Associated Press can end up in that or similar rags as an 'exclusive'.
surf Posted April 15, 2010 Author Posted April 15, 2010 I think the point is being lost. It's ace that in these uncertain times when we don't know who will be owners next season and we don't know whether or not Rafa will stay Masch still come out and says he wants a new 6/7 year contract. Love that!
onizukaeikichi Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 I am proud to see players like Reina and Masch at our club.
Rory Fitzgerald Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Why do people always fall for that Because there is hardly ever a word of truth in the papers, especially that one.
Leo No.8 Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 (edited) I'm pleasantly shocked at the way things have gone with Mascherano recently - I didn't expect him to stay at the club beyond this summer after last year. Now he's making it very clear he wants to commit long term which is just tremendous news. I'm elated because he'd always been a favourite of mine until he wanted to go. Signing him to a long term deal along with Reina would be a real highlight of an otherwise disappointing season - both are still young players but old beyond their years and potential captains. It would mean two key players in the spine of the side we can build around, hopefully with new owners able to invest in the squad. Does make me wonder if we'd have told Alonso he couldn't go whether things might have changed with him. Rafa dug his heels in on Mascher and this is the reward. Edited April 16, 2010 by Leo No.8
Bo Benn Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Suppose the difference is that Rafa never more or less actively tried to flog Mascherano. Another positive with the Masch and Pepe situations is that they seem to want to commit regardless of Rafa being at the club or not, with all the talk about him leaving. Could be of course that they have inside knowledge that Rafa in fact will remain here.
Ramón Benítez Hernández Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 I don't understand who Raga is Raggamuffin music, usually abbreviated as ragga, is a sub-genre of dancehall music or reggae, in which the instrumentation primarily consists of electronic music. Jah. Rafastari
