Cunny Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 feck http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-news/torres-to-see-specialist? Fernando Torres will see a specialist on Monday to assess the knee injury which kept him out of the 0-0 draw with Fulham. Rafa Benitez told reporters: "He has a problem with his knee. He's gone to see a specialist and we are waiting for news. "We don't know yet. It depends on what the specialist says tomorrow. He had a problem before and we were trying to protect him."
Conrad Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 (edited) feck http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-news/torres-to-see-specialist? fingers crossed - at least there's a bit of time before the first leg of the semi. It would be gutting for him to miss Athleti again Edited April 11, 2010 by Heighway 61 Revisited
Chili Palmer Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 feck http://www.liverpool...see-specialist? bet he plays in the channel 5 cup semi tho.
Epic Swindle Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Convenient excuse for Rafa? If he's seriously injured then fair enough but I think you might be right. As long as he's well rested for our next game in 8 days time.
carrafan Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Convenient excuse for Rafa? Yep, he simply dropped Torres today because he likes to rotate. Ngog helps with zonal marking as well.
CarraLegend Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Why on earth would he make up an injury? Its not as if he's scared of the media or supporters is it? He subbed him last week!!
pipnasty Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Why on earth would he make up an injury? Its not as if he's scared of the media or supporters is it? He subbed him last week!! He wants us to lose all of our games
FC Showster Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Why on earth would he make up an injury? Its not as if he's scared of the media or supporters is it? He subbed him last week!! To quote someone else, only 5 games left so why would we possibly leave Torres out of the squad f*** we have some bellends as fans
MFletcher Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Takes Torres off against Birmingham. Torres has ice pack on his knee in dugout.Torres seen in slight discomfort and poking about his knee against Benfica.Torres omitted from squad to play Fulham because of knee injury.Torres due to go and see specialist about said knee injury tomorrow. Does anyone else think that maybe, just maybe, Rafa may have taken him off against Birmingham because he knew a hell of a lot more about his physical condition than we did?
sean Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Convenient excuse for Rafa? Are you on a wind-up here mate? If so, it's rubbish. If not, you're a f***ing berk.

Does anyone else think that maybe, just maybe, Rafa may have taken him off against Birmingham because he knew a hell of a lot more about his physical condition than we did? For sure Rafa does, but Rafa himself said then there was no injury and Torres was exhausted, that's what everyone was talking about.
Damian_de Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Seriously though, Rafa signed a massive contract didn't he? Why should he care how we play or if we win anything?
Zoob Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 He wants us to lose all of our games Rafa deliberately kicked Torres in the knee to cause the injury
Superjay Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Rafa deliberately kicked Torres in the knee to cause the injury Don't be silly he did it in the 32 man pelegrino royal rumble with an iron bar while the ref wasnt looking.

Why didn't he say he had a knock and was protecting his knee? He said he was exhausted. Oh f*** off.
JonShar Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Why didn't he say he had a knock and was protecting his knee? He said he was exhausted. Because what the f*** do you think the opposition defenders are going to kick as soon as he takes the field? No surprise that Munich went straight after Rooney's ankle the other night, people aren't stupid. Well, you being the exception of course. "LOL"
Epic Swindle Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 For sure Rafa does, but Rafa himself said then there was no injury and Torres was exhausted, that's what everyone was talking about. Have you got a link for that mate? I doubt he invented a new injury but it's a fact that he's desperate to wrap Torres in cotton wool, and with what looked like a routine home win today was the ideal opportunity. If it's a serious knee injury then I doubt we'll see him for the next few weeks but I have a feeling he'll be fit for West Ham and Madrid.

pipnasty Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Rafa deliberately kicked Torres in the knee to cause the injury Bye bye Rafa
Red Kent Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Why bother playing him against West Ham? Why bother playing West Ham at all if today is going to be the benchmark for the rest of the season in the league. I really thought things had changed against Sunderland, now they are just back down and even worse.
JonShar Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Too bad the officials can't figure this out then. Par for the course, but that doesn't make any sense. Football is a contact sport mate, and most defenders I know would happily take a yellow card if it knocked the opponent's best striker out of the game.
