We should have no complaints about that incident. The respect campaign was a great success. It achieved all the aims it had set out throughout the duration of the campaign i.e. to cause as much damage to Liverpool in 90mins at Old Trafford.

Ferdinand was far far worse in that game, he kicked the ball away about 8 times, including smashing it into the crowd (his own fans!!) on a few occasions, he battered Torres (which was what Mascherano was rightly moaning about) and surrounded the ref about 25 times.

 

Think he got booked in the second half didnt he so it evened itself out.
