Well, except Fulham. Does this mean we get promoted to ITV and maybe making some money in Europe this season ?

I think Channel 5 have rights to the competition up to and including the final. I think they've learned from previous years when they've covered the early rounds of the competition, only for the likes of Sky to step in at the end when it gets interesting

They do, Colin Murray mentioned it after the match on Thursday.

Was disappointed when Murray mentioned they'd cover the final. Was hoping it'd go to form and a proper broadcaster would take over from the Semi's on.

 

No HD on Five either.

On the bright side, at least it means we'll have a true Liverpool supporter in the studio - Murray himself - rather than Sky's anti-Liverpool bunch

He's a bit s*** though, isn't he.

 

But yeah, they're just incompetent and poor rather than Sky's snide agenda-driven style. Even the usually hateful Collymore is quite muted.

 

Although, the commentator talking a little bit about the merits of the film that follows the game is f***ing ridiculous.

In fairness, he did make me laugh though inm the first leg when that girl had the poster saying something like 'Torres I am your No.1 fan in Portugal, can I have your shirt?' and he suggested he'd probably give it to her if she'd do a swap.

 

But yeah, he comes across as a bit clueless (if well-meaning).

Ha! Yeah, but you have to admit - footy in HD is delightful.

 

 

Glad it's not on ITV. It's like watching lego players the quality is that bad

 

There's a way of getting ITV HD on Sky

 

Collymore is an absolutely clueless k****ead.

And while i try to like Murray , he is useless.

As for the commentary team, they make Sky look good.

 

The main commentator they had on Thursday was astonishingly awful.

Hold on! Am I getting this wrong? Isn´t everyone always slagging SKY for being anti Liverpool? Now we have channel 5 showing the game and everyone now seems to be saying how shockingly awful they are and SKY should be showing it! :wacko: Anyhow,for my tuppence worth I like Graham Taylor as a co-commentator. He´s hilarious. Got to be the best around. :lol:

Brilliant. Much prefer the commentary on Channel 5 above Sky and ITV.

We'll be okay for next season in the Europe League though - Five is launching in HD in July.

Forgot the club won this three times - tied for most, along with Inter and Juventus. Would be great to win it this year and have the record to ourselves................and maybe add the fifth title next year ;)
