Igors Uncle Dave Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Rafa, thanks for that and close the door on the way out please. And another woeful performance from Ngog. He can go with him, perhas we can get a couple of mil for sicknote too?
Stevie H Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 torres wasn't playing well but you still leave him on and give him some help up there. can't really defend that kind of management in a must-win match.
Hassony Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Rafa, thanks for that and close the door on the way out please. And another woeful performance from Ngog. He can go with him, perhas we can get a couple of mil for sicknote too? when he came on we started to create chances, he probably should have scored but he still did 10 times better than torres
stonty Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Another chapter from the Monty Burns Book of Football Management
Walrus Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 torres wasn't playing well but you still leave him on and give him some help up there. can't really defend that kind of management in a must-win match.Exactly how I see it. N'Gog did pretty well too to be fair, but he should've taken the chances. Otherwise what's the point? Feel worse about Rafa with every passing game myself...
Epic Swindle Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 This can't go on. We all understand the financial limitations but a change and fresh approach is needed.
Gomez Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 You sound like the idiot co-commentator on Faux-Sport who actually said it was a coincidence that Liverpool created a lot more chances after Torres went off. Really, if you can't see why Torres was taken off, and how we improved after he did, you should keep quiet so you don't look like an idiot.
Hassony Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 torres wasn't playing well but you still leave him on and give him some help up there. can't really defend that kind of management in a must-win match. we still created 4-5 clear cut chances after torres was subbed
CaptainXabi Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 we still created 4-5 clear cut chances after torres was subbedTorres and N'Gog could have both been on the pitch at the same time. Wild concept, I know, but it's possible.
Falconhoof Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Plenty wrong with the team selection and subs but i'm bored of going over it all. We need a change.
LFCNeil90 Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 He has to go after we drew at a team that has held all the other big teams at home? get a f***ing grip. The torres sub was the right thing to do. He was lethargic and not getting up to much and as soon as N'gog came on we were creating chances and should have won comfortably.
Berger Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 (edited) Rafa rush players back just about they barely can play a game. When the player is fit, he took him off because of fitness and a mind on the next game.Bizarre. Fourth is gone. Edited April 4, 2010 by Berger
Hassony Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Torres and N'Gog could have both been on the pitch at the same time. Wild concept, I know, but it's possible. would we have created as many chances? no one can say for certain i guess
drdooom Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 The torres sub was the right thing to do. He was lethargic and not getting up to much and as soon as N'gog came on we were creating chances and should have won comfortably. We should have, but we didn't, ergo it didn't work.

He was lethargic and not getting up to much and as soon as N'gog came on we were creating chances and should have won comfortably. there were a few times when torres lost the ball and he din't even bother chasing back
McBain Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Was already there. But games like today just confirm it
Nebraska Red Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Rafa, thanks for that and close the door on the way out please. And another woeful performance from Ngog. He can go with him, perhas we can get a couple of mil for sicknote too? what a load of tosh!! N'Gog is a kid who has been thrown in because we have nowt else. Torres was getting nothing today, he was marked out by their defenders and got little from his team mates. Torres goes off, they relax and we create chance after chance. It wasn't just N'Gog, but if he is your whipping boy for today , so be it.
Gunga Din Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 He has to go after we drew at a team that has held all the other big teams at home? get a f***ing grip. exactly. our first s***ty performance of the season and people call for him to go. unbelieveable
Gomez Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Was already there. But games like today just confirm it You are going to be made up with O'Neill then, he'll make tactical decisions more on your level.
Nebraska Red Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Rafa rush players back just about they barely can play a game. When the player is fit, he took him off because of fitness and a mind on the next game.Bizarre. Fourth is gone. What????????
Berger Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 why didnt Babel start? He has to rest the next game. Why not starting the same lineup with Sunderland?
Gunga Din Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 what a load of tosh!! N'Gog is a kid who has been thrown in because we have nowt else. Torres was getting nothing today, he was marked out by their defenders and got little from his team mates. Torres goes off, they relax and we create chance after chance. It wasn't just N'Gog, but if he is your whipping boy for today , so be it. so put runners on, people to run channels, stretch the defence a bit? no, nah you're right, we've been doing just fine away from home playing these tactics 4 goals in 10 away games
Bailo Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Not sure why we get this every time, he's gone anyway in the summer, just enjoy the last few times we have a world class manager at the helm. Next season it'll be MON, Hughes or Curbishley.
