David Hodgson Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Not a debate about the likelihood of his availability, just whether you'd 'ave him if we could get him.
Barnesy_10 Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Yup... The only manager that I would want if Rafa left. I think he's got the ability to attract quality players as well. Would hate it if he took over from Ferguson as well.
surf Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 he might be the new messiah, but i doubt he'll take over from rafa and ferguson
Stevie H Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 kind of have to vote 'orgasmically happy' by default because it would mean we'd found about four hundred million down the back of the sofa. though 'sad and pissed off' would be a better fifth option than 'very let down'.
salkavalka Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Bring Capello..if Benitez leave..(Never going to happend)
Berger Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 He's a top manager. I read that he has a 6 years unbeaten home record (at Porto, Chelsea and Inter) and that's amazing. Dont know has this record been broken yet?
Sion Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Not sure how anyone could feel very let down at the appointment on a manager with his record. By the same token I couldn't feel orgasmically happy because he's a bit of a dick.

Jarg Armani Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 is this before or after i eat my hat? but after all the fuss had died down (about the flying pigs and the devil ice skating home), i would be quietly content.
McBain Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 (edited) We'd have the best man for the job. But only if the circumstances around the club had changed. Appointing him without investment would (apart from being impossible anyway) be a disaster waiting to happen Edited April 4, 2010 by Mcbain
Andy @ Allerton Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 He's a complete and absolute c*** that would make a mockery of the club and anything the club had ever stood for. I would be embarrased to attend a match with this prick in charge. Further, I would feel I could never attend another game again. It would be a natural ending (An ending that you get to see when you talk about old season ticket holders that had a 'final straw' that meant they saw the club had changed beyond what they could consider to spend a load of money each season supporting. For each of those there were different reasons. Some things with the club. Somethings outside the club. I know LFC would never, ever be the same again once that t*** had corrupted it. So I would fail to see the point of investing time, money, passion and energy any more. I'd still watch them, but I'd do it from home or in pubs. Wouldn't consider going again. Would be the end even moreso than O'Neill. Mourinho is an arrogant, bigheaded media whore. The only thing that matters to him is Mourinho. He's a total f***ing scumbag.

Dont know has this record been broken yet? It's a brilliant record out of curiosity, How does it compare to Rafa or Ferguson over the past 6 years?

Andy @ Allerton Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Are there any managers you actually would be happy to have replacing Rafa if he goes? You have already asked me this and I have already answered.
libero Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Colours to the mast here.Would not want that low life parasite of a cheatin barsteward anywhere near my club. The way he has set his teams up in the past to cheat, dive and harange refs does my head in.
Falconhoof Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 I want to win the league. Mourinho seems like he has a better idea than most about how to achieve it in this country.
meredithmathieson Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Proven liar. Proven cheat. As another poster wrote in a previous thread, I'd feel dirty if he took over - particularly if it did coincide with a cash injection to attract top players, which we have been screaming out for for the last 18 months. The proof of the pudding is, though, that there is not a cat in Hell's chance of him joining us until the ownership/ debt side of things is sorted - he's not stupid, I'll give him that.
Gunga Din Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 i'd be delighted. i love how some people wouldnt want one of the top managers in world football taking over.
sean Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 i'd be delighted. i love how some people wouldnt want one of the top managers in world football taking over. He's a liar, Wayne, one evil snidey little c***. Management abilities are beyond reproach. Well, he can be a bit crude in his execution of tactics but he gets players playing for him.

And i'll add if he were to come he'd leave within 2 years. He'd come up with some excuse and be off for another project. Probably Real Madrid or Barcelona or even Bayern Munich. Of course then O'neill would be available and we go back to the likes of him.
yellow jumper Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 I want to win the league. Mourinho seems like he has a better idea than most about how to achieve it in this country. newcastle have won the championship with chris hughton, not because he's the best manager, but because they have the biggest resources. we all want to win the league. bit more complicated than that though isn't it. maybe mourinho gets more out of the squad than benitez has this year, i think the likelihood is he does. not sure it's anything like as clear cut he'd get as much out of it as rafa did last season.
Coyler Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 No thanks. Could do without that circus coming to town. And the last season he was in England he had unlimited funds and didn't win the league
