Andy @ Allerton Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Hopefully seriously injured. Probably not though
Nebraska Red Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Hopefully seriously injured. Probably not though let's just hope it's nothing trivial.
Andy @ Allerton Posted March 30, 2010 Author Posted March 30, 2010 "Congrats Wayne, It's a baby Shrek" (As his proud fathers look on)
Tones Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Wish it ruled him out for at least 6 months, probably be 6 days. If we are lucky.
Barnesy_10 Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Drogba better be on his game on Saturday... Van Persie is out for the season with his ankle isn't he?
Raj Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Van Persie is out for the season with his ankle isn't he? He's back in training
Damian_de Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Drogba better be on his game on Saturday...One of the worst performances by any player ever in that game last season
CarraLegend Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 I dont think he's ever scored against the filth in the league. They should stick with Anelka on his own. Rooney left the stadium on crutches and his foot in a brace, which is nice.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Purely precautionary. Hopefully he'll slip & fall The way he went over on it, it looks like it could be a sprain, which would be nice
Barnesy_10 Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Sky panel all saying how they have all had the same thing happen and it's 1 week out worse case... Pricks
Sion Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 You don't leave on crutches with your foot in a brace like that unless there's at least a chance it might be fairly serious.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Yeah, and I had the same thing happen in Jan & still am not playing footie again. I'm not a pro, so obviously my treatment is nowhere near as good, but the consensus is a sprain is often a worse injury than a break as it's a messier fix - torn ligaments etc
anfield11 Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 You don't leave on crutches with your foot in a brace like that unless there's at least a chance it might be fairly serious. Unless you're trying to con someone?
CarraLegend Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 They might be a club full of vile scumbags but I doubt even they'd go to the lengths of faking a leg brace and crutches. He was clearly hurt.
Sion Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 I doubt it'd hardly be a massive advantage either. It's not like Chelsea aren't going to be planning for him possibly playing.
Cam Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 That Sky interviewer will never work in football again. Ferguson in full flow banging on in that way he does... Ferguson: ...blah blah blah, he received a nasty kick on the ankle... blah blah blah.Sky: Well, you say that but if you look again he goes over on his other ankle.Ferguson: Er... yeah... yeah.Sky: So is it his left or right ankle.Ferguson: Er.... don't know. It was almost Paxman-like.
stressederic Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 (edited) I don't buy the 'it's a trick argument'. You'd think having been beaten by Bayern and with a big game against Chelsea on the horizon, Ferguson would be attempting to quell the concerns of the fans (and media) rather than playing some sort of elaborate con involving crutches and a cast. Gunga Din Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 not the first time they'll have come back from Munich with players doubtful for the weekend game

aka Dus Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 not the first time they'll have come back from Munich with players doubtful for the weekend game True, seem to recall Wes Strangely Golden carrying a knock when they came back from the Audi Cup there last summer....
Murphman Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Yeah, and I had the same thing happen in Jan & still am not playing footie again. I'm not a pro, so obviously my treatment is nowhere near as good, but the consensus is a sprain is often a worse injury than a break as it's a messier fix - torn ligaments etc Rooney has a couple of advantages over you though Macca, his treatment of course plus not being sh*t, old, unfit and a poof will help too.
