Remember 4 April 2001 and us waiting at Manchester airport to fly out to Barcelona for the UEFA semi the next day, both of us suffering hang-overs from celebrating the night before.

 

Suddenly a loud cheering erupted as the Bayern Munich team came through the departure lounge after having beaten the scum 0 – 1 the night before at OT. Wow what a reception they got, more than their own fans gave them.

 

Then afterwards, I managed to accidentally floor Barthez as he scurried through to catch a flight to France with his head right down. I'd swung my knapsack up on to my back and turned round quickly and it somehow managed to connect with Barthez, I went to apologise but I just couldn't! The result from that game and our result 0 - 0 [1st leg] made the whole 3 days in Barca as one of the best times following Liverpool that I can remember. Three thousand reds on Las Ramblas drinking and singing before the game.

 

I thought I had lost all my pictures from Barca as my PC crashed 12 months ago, but the hard drive survived and I finally got all the pics of it this week.

 

 

Then Bayern beat the scum in the 2^nd leg too knocking them out of CL.

 

I am hoping Karma plays a large part and Bayern kicks the scum in the butt again…..
