Good to see Johnson back, at times worked well in tandem with Maxi cutting in.

Babel was OK but by no means top 3. Even Joe Royle could see it - if he's playing on the left he needs to have the ability to go to the defender's right and take it to the byline. It's a dimension of our play we've been lacking and you only have to look at the injection it's given Arsenal with Walcott's relative return to form this last few weeks to see it's value. The cut inside on his right and subsequent poor cross was all too goddamn predictable. I'd still start with him against Lille as he's our only wide player with a modicum of pace.
