Food labelled 'Halal"

Recently Cadbury's started labelling their chocolates in Australia "Halal".

 

 

I was wandering if the "Halal" label is on many food products in the UK. Over here there's uproar, with many listeners of a talkback radio station saying that they will boycott Cadbury's products altogether.

 

Here's an example: "Do you all realise Vegemite is now branded Halal? Yes, it is. I checked today. Have not eaten Cadbury chocolate in 12 months, and now no more Vegemite. Maybe they intend to starve us out?"
