Kuyt was awful playing as second striker, I really don't want to see him there again. Gerrard was inevitably better there than he was at centre mid.

I don't understand how Maxi gets a game ahead of Riera and even Babel when Rafa talks about leaving Aquilani out as he needs to pick a team to win games.

We only had any drive at all when Aquilani came on, he steadied a piss poor midfield and starting looking to get forward with the ball.

 

The pace of our attacks before him and Babel came on was laughable, get to the half way line, check back, knock it to the Greek, knock it to Insua, knock it to Masch, knock it to Carra, lump it, lose the ball and start again.

 

Gerrard was completely b******s.

I'm surprised anyone could have had Gerrard for last night. He gave the ball away to the opposition on no less than 18 occasions.. Not very good really.
