The Hitman Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 Does anybody here have any form of dyslexia,as my missus is really struggling at work with it,and I'm not sure whether I've got any good form of advice to give, as it's not something I've come across or any knowledge of. Quite a lot of their job involves writing documents for proposals, client communications etc., and the dyslexia makes it quite difficult for them to spot spelling or grammatical errors. Additionally, although this sounds funny, she's spent most of her time at home speaking Hindi and Gujarati, and so sometimes doesn't pick up the odd error, although obviously she's grown up speaking and writing English. The attitude of her colleagues has made it quite difficult for her, even though they're supposed to be proof-reading what she's written in the first place. I've tried to tell her that mistakes happen, and that she's trying her best, but it's stressing her out to the extent that it makes the whole thing worse. Anybody have any experience of anything like this?
