I have been legged round Manchester by their fans, I have heard the same fans (whilst I was amongst them, to all intents and purposes appearing as one of theirs - god f***ing forbid) singing happily about 96 scousers lying dead on the floor. I hate them. I despise them - I'd celebrate their plane 'not going up tiddly-up-up, going down tiddly-down-down'.

They have Newton Heath scarves, we have embarrasing 'DLC' advertising boards in Liverpool - the only people who see them are embarrasd to f*** by them. And our pathetic advertising boards are announced by a cryptic clue on footy forums??? F*** off.

The Red Knights (sh** name) is a group of individuals who, having made their name, have decided to help their club - SoS is a group who, misguidely, see the campaign as some kind of route to personal fame and fortune.

 

 

But let's blame Rafa - one of the best managers we have ever had.

 

It's so sad.

 

More than anything that has ever happened to our club, I see the current series of events as the most embarrasing in my lifetime.

 

21 years ago, the Munichs had Michael Knighton. We are 21 years, or probably more, behind them.

which is obviously a lot of money.

It can be probably be done cheaper, but what about approaching someone like David Moores or some ex-players to at least part finance it?

 

imagine how good it would look....

SOS strikes me as a group which has zero organisation and is wallowing in its own self-importance. It's not good enough. These advertising boards are an embarrassment to the campaign to out the owners. It's amateur hour.

It's not laughable - it doesn't register on the scale of public acknowledgment to even warrant a comment. The SoS/ShareLiverpool movement is as good as non-existent.

 

 

The mancs have got proper people involved - not a bunch of local, passionate, desperate fans who love the club as much as life itself. They have serious business people, who also happen to love the club, running the show.

There's a key difference ... in the last week, I have spoken to fans of all sorts of clubs who have spoken to me about the 'Newton Heath campaign (even if they haven't all be able to articulate it perfectly). Supporters of clubs such as Arsenal, Celtic, Barcelona, Bayern Munich (Muuuuunich), Reading, St Johnstone, Falkirk, Chelsea, Southampton ... all sorts).

 

They are organised, we are small-time. It's gutting.

While admiring the effort that many have gone too re SoS it's impossible to disagree with the basic point that there's an absolutely vast difference in the capabilities of the two organisations.

But the point is not (just) 'wearing something notable' in the ground - that's important but a million miles behind getting the right people in to run the project.

all black, no logo's, get all the banners blacked out as well, just staple binliners over them. that huge banner that passes over the Kop blacked out would make a huge statement. black scarves. and if some c*** comes on here with "its just copying the mancs blah blah blah", well, you now what, i dont care. we need to start making this visable.
