Buzz Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 (edited) Some fine tributes there from his old clubsHe was a legend at Lincoln, they f***ing loved him to bits. When he had his Cerebral Aneurysm they woouldn't take another manager and kept with him with his assistant filling in.Though he returned to Lincoln in the February we wasn't that fit and well and couldn't put in full hours, but everyone was behind him and kept the faith with him. He was one of theirs and they own the club as a Supporters Trust, he had played and managed them and when he did go, there was a lot of talk that it was because he felt he had failed them, despite consecutive play offs, he needed a new challenge and a club had been sniffing around - f***ing Peterborough of all places! But the Sincil bank faithfull I know, all still loved him.I remembered that he played for Stamford Daniels I had forgotten thisAlexander won the FA Vase in 1980 with Stamford, scoring one of the goals in a 20 win at Wembley. My first trip to Wembley at 10 years old. Drexl Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 Was in Lincoln for a while, and had the pleasure of meeting him a few times. He really was as nice a man as they all say. The Lincoln players really loved him aswell. Really sad news, RIP.
