Allows you see American TV outside the States. I'm sure you could find shows like Arkansas Midget Idol or CSI Hoboken on it but if you want to see the latest episodes of Sons of Anarchy, Dexter etc then its a good place to start. It seems to be basically a content aggregator but the streams load quickly and the quality is more than adequate.
