Minder78 Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Throwing one into another players missus. High Court overturned an injunction today that Terrys lawyers had to stop the News Of The World running a story about his private life. This may be a "bridge" too far for some.

Rory Fitzgerald Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Wonder if there is any truth in the rumour that he got her pregnant and she got an abortion.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Quote The England captain has been married to wife Toni since 2007. At the High Court Mr Justice Tugendhat granted the interim order to lawyers acting for LNS - as he is identified on court papers - at a private hearing in London last Friday. He said that it should remain in force until he delivered his decision on the application, which he gave in writing today. The order covered the fact of a specified personal relationship between LNS and the named person, details about it including certain specific consequences, information leading to the identification of LNS or the other person and any photographs relating to it. Giving his reasons for refusing to renew the injunction, the judge said: "I accept that the information sought to be protected is not in the public domain in the sense that there is nothing left to be protected. "But the evidence is that there has been wide circulation amongst those involved in the sport in question, including agents and others, and not just amongst those directly engaged in the sport. "If the injunction ought otherwise be granted, I would not refuse it on this basis. But the fact that the information has become as widely available to so many people, means that an injunction is less necessary or proportionate than would otherwise be the case. "Further, if - as I think likely - the real concern of the applicant in this case is the effect of publication upon the sponsorship business, then damages would be an adequate remedy if LNS succeeds at trial." A hearing before the judge at which a number of newspapers are represented is continuing in private. He is expected to hear an application today to allow LNS to be identified.

charlie clown Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 A bit off topic but did any one watch MOTD the other night when the commentator announced 'and John Terry deals with that masterfully' a split second before he tripepd over, gave away posession and handed a scoring opportunity to Birmingham. Classic.

Classic. We are talking about John 'Dad of the Year/England Captain' Terry throwing a lenght into a team mates missus and you contribute a commentators gaff when he tripped over. Are you his mum trying to change the subject ? Edited January 29, 2010 by Rory Fitzgerald
muleskinner Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Apparently Bridge is refusing to play for England in the same side as Terry. Capello must be gutted.
growler Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 He is the only reason I don't want England to win the world cup. I would love for Gerrard to be a world cup winner, even if it means Rooney and Lampard are too. I just can't stand the fact that Terry would receive the trophy on behalf of the team. What an embarassment to our country to have him captaining our country in a tournament. Its like Ali G representing England at the united nations. for real.

kop205 Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 I hope Wayne Bridge does this to him: Still one of my favoruite non-Liverpool football pics ever.
floyd Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 (edited) Terry will be stripped of the South England captancy, and probably be given to a known drugs cheat. Fvckin love it Edited January 30, 2010 by floyd
Jacks Jackie Jackson Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 There were players in the past who are still regarded as heroes who did far worse than John Terry. It's what he does on the pitch that should be the sole criteria of whether he continues to play for Chelsea or England. Is he a good player? Undoubtedly he is. Is he a good captain? I can't say as I'm not prone to watching England but his private life should have no bearing on this at all. I recall a Liverpool player refusing to play for us if the team-mate who was sleeping, or had slept, with the guy's wife was playing for us. This was in the 70s so this sort of thing has always gone on and always will.
