PowerPoint Question

My PowerPoint Show file has links to PowerPoint Templates and when clicking on the link instead of opening up in edit mode as a template it opens as a PowerPoint Show. Any reason for this and is there a way to correct it?

 

I'm using PowerPoint 2003.
