I think thats a sad statement really. Its true but sad as really a player like the greek shouldn't be anywhere near our first team. Love his attitude tho.

I'm not not applauding him for it! he's done great, shouldn't be our first choice centre back tho.

He could be the key man in getting out of the slump, basic head it and block that's been an issue

He knows the game more than he lets on. You think he is just hard and committed but I think he is very intelligent too in terms of pressing, positioning etc.

He was awesome. So, so good to see him going up for set pieces.

I'm not going to get carried away, because he's clearly a limited player.

 

However, for every mistake he makes along the ground, he clears about 15 balls in the air. As Rimbeux says, a lot of our problems in defence have come from poor aerial ability and a failure to deal with such balls. It's great to have a centre back in there who'll get up, head the f***ing ball and actually clear it. I'd have him in the team for the next few games, because he's doing all the right things and actually showing some leadership at the back. I'm quite prepared to watch him get done once a game on the ground if he's handling the aerial ball so well.

This is now my thinking. Whatever deficiencies he has in other areas he really compensates for.

yes, he has been excellent in the last two games, and he seems to be bringing Skrtle back into form which is a good thing

I listened to the Sirius radio for the last 15 minutes and the guy on the commentary said Kyrgiakos played like a Trojan. I wonder if he would be insulted by that.
