I'm getting married in August this year and we are looking at Dubai for a 10 day honeymoon.

However, I know that Ramadan starts during this month and the tour operator tells us that '.....Also on the 19th of August the holy month of Ramadan starts, this means Muslim people can't eat during the hours of daylight but this doesn't effect hotels'

I did my own little research and its not as easy as the tour operator says.

Basically, we want to sit by the pool, drink when we want to and enjoy some nibbles whilst we sun bath and swim.

Can this be done blatantly within the confines of a hotel resort or am I expected to go up to my room for a swallow of water/beer or can I leave it beside my sun lounger.

Thanks

PS Getting great deal but is that because people dont like staying in Dubai during Ramadan because there are certain restrictions with food/drink ?
