Andy @ Allerton Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 (edited) Is that we're 4 points off a 'Champion' League place with most of the season left to play. Edited January 17, 2010 by Andy
Red Kent Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 (edited) Still not good enough. After last season we should be at least 4 points from the top, and still in the FA and CL. Edited January 17, 2010 by Kev
Andy @ Allerton Posted January 17, 2010 Author Posted January 17, 2010 Still not good enough. After last season we should be at least 4 points from the top, and still in the FA and CL. And you're now going to suggest that the league isn't hopelessly corrupt now, no doubt, that booking and no penalty is a f***ing disgrace. There's no f***ing way anyone on f***ing earth can f***ing defend that f***ing 'decision' by that corrupt bent f***ing c***.

Andy @ Allerton Posted January 17, 2010 Author Posted January 17, 2010 You've got issues buddy! So you're going to argue that wasn't a f***ing blatent penalty then? And what about the other one too? f*** me.
Jacks Jackie Jackson Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 And you're now going to suggest that the league isn't hopelessly corrupt now, no doubt, that booking and no penalty is a f***ing disgrace. There's no f***ing way anyone on f***ing earth can f***ing defend that f***ing 'decision' by that corrupt bent f***ing c***. There's no way anyone could defend that hopelessly inept referee but if you seriously think the league is as bent as you claim it is, why do you continue to go and watch it? If I really believed it was that corrupt, I would go and watch something else. You make it sound as straight as American Wrestling.
anny road Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 It isnt corrupt, Andy is a bit barmy But Mason is shocking, he is f***ing rubbish.......that pen 1st half is just so ridiculous, and the liner too
Jacks Jackie Jackson Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 It isnt corrupt, Andy is a bit barmy But Mason is shocking, he is f***ing rubbish.......that pen 1st half is just so ridiculous, and the liner too Guy next to us yesterday said he was a referee in the Liverpool Sunday leagues and told us who that ref was as his name was read out. He warned us ahead of time he'd be incompetent bordering on blind and he also told us the lino was the one who 'missed' Yossi Benayoun getting kicked right under his nose against Chelsea. He also claimed the league knew this lino was incompetent (and you could see him look to the ref and see which way he was going to signal before raising his flag each time) and was 'protected' because there are so few ethnic minorities in the higher echelons of officiating in England. i don't want to get all 'Ferguson' about it but after yesterday and the Fulham debacle, I reckon Liverpool have enough evidence to show this ref is biased against our club and protest at him officiating in any more of our games.

Knew that Mason was f***ing incompetent, but then you've got that t*** of a lino who doesn't have a feckin clu. And as for him waiting for Lee Mason to signal his intent, how far was he from Lucas when he went down for the penno? It was like the blind leading the blind. And before anyone says, I ain't being blindist of visionist or any other b******s.
Zoob Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Is that we're 4 points off a 'Champion' League place with most of the season left to play. We've got less than half the season to play, but given how wretched we've been, it's quite something that we're only 4 points off 4th place... Guy next to us yesterday said he was a referee in the Liverpool Sunday leagues and told us who that ref was as his name was read out. He warned us ahead of time he'd be incompetent bordering on blind and he also told us the lino was the one who 'missed' Yossi Benayoun getting kicked right under his nose against Chelsea. And of course Mason was also ref at Portsmouth, when Torres was kicked all over the place, and Brown got away with a tackle just as bad as Mascherano's red card, but didn't even get booked. Not sure who the linesman was that day, but he clearly didn't understand the offside rule and what it means for a player (in fact 2 players) in an offside position to become active.
Jarg Armani Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 We're not as far back as we should be considering how bad we've been. We move on from here. The short term isn't the problem though, obviously.
JonShar Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 (edited) Still not good enough. After last season we should be at least 4 points from the top, and still in the FA and CL. I think you mean at most 4 points from the top. Then again, ManUre shouldn't have lost to Leeds, Chelski shouldn't have lost to Wigan, Arsenal shouldn't have lost to Chelski... blah blah blah. Woulda coulda shoulda, the point is that we've been gash this season yet we still have the chance to salvage something, even if it's not the something that some of us feel we have the divine right to - regardless of the fact we haven't won it for nigh 20 years. Swipe Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 (edited) The summer needs massive changes. And no doubt, that will happen. But after how utterly awful this season has been so far, literally bar a couple of matches, to be four points off top 4 (which has been our target for a couple of months now so while in the grand scheme of things it's not good enough, it's where we are now and we must achieve it) with the chance to go within a point of the fourth place team is pretty incredible. It's more to do with the averageness of the teams around us than by our own quality, but that's the way it is. I don't care if we f***ing stumble over the line, as long as we make the top 4. The season's been a disaster and unacceptable. But i'd rather have the summer aftermath and inquisition with a Champions League place secure than not. Edited January 17, 2010 by Swipe
