So, after having some quite serious difficulties in the old plumbing department, I found myself in Belfast City Hospital during the week having a one to one with the a Urology Nurse.

I am waiting on a session with the consultant but the nurse reliably informed me that the consultant will be undertaking a uroscopy up my knob end any time soon. She tells me my likely scenario is that I have a fistula (hole) between my bladder and my bowel. Explains a hell of a lot.

Then I'm told the procedure will be deliverd under local anaesthetic. Joy. They will stick a needle in my lad before they push a camera up it.

(Vain hope for words of comfort) Has any other forumite ever had the same?

It's the only time in my life when I've been glad to see bills hitting the hall floor rather than anything else.
