I'd like to know, how does he feel, as a Liverpool fan, to be complicit in the rape of our club?

I think he's far more interested in his job, which is to do right by his bosses. Somewhere in the dark load's head they probably equate to something similar

Ask him how our sponsors feel about giving huge sums of cash to a company who have a director that treats his customers with such open contempt and drags the name of the company through the worlds media?

Ask him if there is any chance that the clubs debt can be rolled for any longer than 1 year and the extent of the restrictive covenants* contained in the loan agreement with the bank. Also, how much in interest payments is anticapted in this financial year.

(*do proceeds in excess of a certain amount have to be applied in prepayment of the debt, how much are we allowed spend on players from proceeds raised by player sales)

Ask him where the Robbie Keane money has went to and why it wasn't reinvested in the summer. Ask them if Rafa would have sanctioned the sale of Keane if he knew he wasn't going to get the money to reinvest. Ask him why Rafa felt he couldn't sell players like Voronin and Dossena, who were surplus to requirements, in the summer because he didn't feel he was going to get the money back.

Finally, ask him how he feels being a key participator in one of the most shambolic, ill-conceived 'custodianships' ever seen in professional sport.

ask him

>how we have apparently got the funding in place for the stadium when we're already up to our necks in unnecessary debt and may have to sell to service it. Also what impact this will have on transfer funds

>what design they actually have as the chosen one after talk of downgrading

>whether we'll have funds available in the summer before selling

>why, when the net wages of players leaving outweighs the net wages of those coming in, do new contracts have to come out of the transfer budget.

You should film the interview and put it on Youtube

absolutely. can't think of any reason why he would refuse to do a filmed interview since all content is going to be public domain anyway.

These meetings always have a certain sense of predictability.

I bet they'll keep saying "The club is looking for additional investment" ... "The club is looking to build a stadium once the financial crisis ends" ... "We wouldn't have been able to finance the purchase of players had we not gone in to debt" ... "We will never sell Gerrard and Torres" ... blah blah blah

there's a lot more ammunition to push him with at the moment though. january window and us seemingly needing to make a profit during it, hicks jr treating concerned fans like dirt, rafa's comment about not ruling out the sale of torres. it's a really good chance to push him for genuine answers on these subjects rather than the crap soundbites about finance he put out to the press back in the summer.

But there wont be genuine answers. Any question asked can and will be batted away easily through a combination of vagueness and platitudes

Politcians have been doing it for years on subjects far trickier than the ones Purslow will be asked

so, what? SOS shouldn't bother turning up? it's a chance to get purslow on record about major issues. ask him whether in his opinion as CEO he thinks hicks junior should resign after his display of utter contempt for concerned fans fed up of being lied to. if he fudges that, follow it up with asking him if he views fans' concerns with similar contempt. does he think that such displays of arrogance on the part of the owners are good for the club as a whole and its relationship with its main stakeholders. if he considers what hicks jr did anything less than a resignation issue, does that mean that he himself is unsuitable for his own role as CEO and a fellow custodian of a proud and historic club.

there's loads of mileage in this interview opp and as maldini says, if it's filmed and SOS keep pushing him for genuine answers and real commitments then it's valuable.
