Sion Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 (edited) His record works out as a PL goal every 110 minutes. He's quite good Edited January 1, 2010 by Sion
Coyler Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 Two things: 1. Haven't seen the whole move of that Pelé goal versus Newcastle in a while. Nice. 2. The only music that work with sports compilations is Rockin' All Over the World or Walk of Life. Great little video, though. Love the intro and the finish.
Gethin Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 And the thing is - virtually none of them were easy goals. You know he's good but watching things like remind you how immense the guy is.
Tosh Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 Side of the net!! He has a great knack of putting the ball just behind the post in the side of the net. See his 50th v Villa.....
Gerrardrules Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 And the thing is - virtually none of them were easy goals. You know he's good but watching things like remind you how immense the guy is. What absolutely astonishing is, is that when he's one on one with the keeper, he sometimes has a touch on the ball just before he shoots. Initially you ask yourself why is he doing it? He's making itself harder then it should be. But then after watching it several times you realize he does it on purpose and makes it easier for himself because the keeper is gone then! Brilliant. For example, see his goal vs the mancs when we won at Old Trafford 4-1.

Raybouldsrightpeg Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 A talent like that should be winning championships!
Earl Hafler Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 I love the quick, slow, quick drag round the outside of the defender. Did it for his debut goal and defenders still can't handle it. It'll be a travesty if he doesn't win a major honour here
guernseygareth Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 (edited) ok, so his strike rate is alright but what about: his work rate? oh. his pace? oh. his strength and hold up play? oh.he's too one-footed isn't he? oh.what about in the air though? oh.no game intelligence. oh.his appreciation of the club and its values? oh.his respect of the city, its people and their culture? oh.his lack of humility and grace? oh.he's quite ugly though. oh. his british passport? ha - got him, that's why rooney is the best etc etc. yours, sky sports alumni Edited January 2, 2010 by guernseygareth
