Andy @ Allerton Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 Who would have ever thought that a home game against a struggling promoted side could make or break the whole course of the season and put extra pressure on the players and managers? But there we are. One of those definate MUST WIN games. Hopefully McCarthy will send out the under 5s. But I doubt it.
CarraLegend Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 Froggatt is going to take Johnson apart the way he's defending at the minute.
Walrus Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 I think Rafa should rest all the senior players in this and concentrate on the Villa game. No, wait...
Davvo Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 Shame he isn't throwing this game. To be honest, in this instance he doesn't have Burnley at home as the next game, it's City at home. He might not view coming to Anfield as a difficult chance of a point, and in any case, he's likely to be banking on no more than 2 points from these 2 games anyway. Would love to see them pitch up with the reserves, but I'm not sure he will this time.
Swipe Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 Froggatt is going to take Johnson apart the way he's defending at the minute. I had to Google him to double check he was retired after you said this a couple of times
nrkintheuk Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 I'd play Shakira up top. I'd rather see her down below
CarraLegend Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 I had to Google him to double check he was retired after you said this a couple of times Cant believe he's only 36 yet hasnt been playing since 2000. A legend ruined by injury.
Stevie H Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 steve bull would terrorise our defence at the minute.
Gunga Din Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 i think we will squeak a narrow 1-0 or 2-1 victory iin this, play badly, and then get stuffed by Villa on the 29th
anny road Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 i am not going to this as I am commentating I think we will sneak a win too Wouldnt write us off at Villa though, no logic...just fancy us to get a result
CarraLegend Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 i am not going to this as I am commentating I think we will sneak a win too Wouldnt write us off at Villa though, no logic...just fancy us to get a result We own their arses at Villa Park, we'll pulverise them.
Jarg Armani Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 i think we will squeak a narrow 1-0 or 2-1 victory iin this, play badly, and then get stuffed by Villa on the 29th this^
Conrad Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 i am not going to this as I am commentating I think we will sneak a win too Wouldnt write us off at Villa though, no logic...just fancy us to get a result I think we'll beat Villa 3-1, 3-2 something like that. We will just play well for a variety of reasons and have a bit of luck. A bit lke the 4-2 game a few weeks after Roy Evans got the chop
windy city red Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 i think we will squeak a narrow 1-0 or 2-1 victory for the rest of the season... changed that for you. yes, i am on happy pills.
Bigal Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 (edited) Are we playing Chris Akabusi? or its John Fashanu Edited December 22, 2009 by Bigal

nrkintheuk Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 Can't believe we are in this mess with Steve Morgan returning with Wolves! Thought we might have heard from him this week.
Stevie H Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 or its John Fashanu akabusi owns fashanu in the patting on the fanny and jizz-dribbled dungarees stakes.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 we'll beat Wolves & lose to Villa - we're incapable of winning back-back games
Dominus Maximus Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 At least we'll know if Mascherano is holding us back. I'm still convinced we are better without him. Dwells on the ball, offer nothing in the air, doesn't contribute at all offensively and gets into trouble with his obvious lack of professionalism. Not a Liverpool player. Sell him if anyone are to leave and make Steve play CM for the rest of his career. Let Aquilani or Yossi play with Torres or better yet, get a real striker bring 4-4-2 back. Also think we should give Dossena a run of the next ten games and let Insua sit, watch and learn. Emil looks lost at the moment. We will look more positive and score more goals with Mascherano out of the equation if: 1. We play Steve as CM2. We play Aquilani as CM. We will lose to anyone if Rafa plays Lucas and Aurelio as CM. Question is, can the defense hold the fort? Johnson - Agger - Carragher - Dossena is what should be played.
Hassony Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 We'll thrash Wolves 3-0, play really well againt villa, lead 1-0 until the 89th minuted when EIH will get villa back to 1-1
